You meet your CEO in the elevator, and she asks: "I understand that you are pursuing Lean Six Sigma certification. Is this something that you think we should do? If so, how would we benefit?"

Create a very brief, but impactful response. Make sure that your initial response addresses benefits to the organization and customers. You want your initial comments to "grab" the attention of the CEO so that you can continue the conversation when she exits the elevator, and hopefully longer when you are invited to her office and/or to participate on a steering team to oversee LSS planning and implementation. If possible, include at least one specific example, so that your response is not too general.
